The last competition entered in 2021.

Based on the programme requirements, our intention was to intervene and preserve the landscape with a proposal that would dialogue smoothly with the land, the fissure, and the building.

Therefore, we conceptualised the building as a door, a space of transition between the outer world and both caves; while accommodating a proper system to articulate the tourism.

In this competition, the whole focus of our work was on creating: a) a strong atmosphere, seeking to accentuate the most beautiful elements of the landscape—the woodland and the water—creating minimal intrusion and maximum harmony with the topography and the physical enchantment of the place, b) and an effective strategy for the museum programme to activate the city, offering a destination to revisit again and again. This was the first entry of mine to win a competition.

After working at RCR, this was my first competition.

Here I continued to employ a similar system of doing projects as in RCR; where concept and graphism are well thought through.

The proposal is literally a line which joins three conditions — the fertile valley, the tropical woods and the mogotes — allowing visitors to experience them across the building.
